Live Craft Eat is a personal blog run by me, Katie Heap. The formal disclosure policy is below. Though to be brief and to put it less formally, I sometimes am compensated for review posts and in conjunction with giveaways. In both cases, any opinions are solely my own and the compensation doesn’t influence what I write. As part of these posts, I sometimes participate on social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Google +, Pinterest and Instagram. These shares are labeled in some way to denote that there is compensation involved.
Additionally, I sometimes write posts that are for all intents and purposes are advertisements. These posts are known as “native advertising” within the blogging industry. This simply means that because I’m paid for the post that it generally needs to be a positive review/narrative of said product. Because of these strict requirements, I only ever select products or services that I’ve actually used and sincerely think are good before writing such a post. This way I can authentically say good things about said product or service despite being paid to do so. I’m less a shill and more a paid advocate in these cases! These posts are always clearly labeled as sponsored posts and links to external sites are “no followed” as per Google’s policies.
Notwithstanding, both paid social shares and review posts are actually fairly uncommon on Live Craft Eat.
I am also compensated through 3rd party ads in various forms as well as affiliate links. While most ads are fairly obvious to readers, affiliate links are not always obvious. While I almost always label affiliate links with “aff” or “aff link” directly after the link, sometimes, affiliate links are not labeled nor disclosed as such beyond what is found on this disclosure page or a simple “this post contains affiliate links” sentence at the top or bottom of a page or post.
Lastly, I won’t be held liable nor responsible in any way for those attempting or acting upon my blog content. I expect readers to do their own research and use their best judgment and discretion for whatever content they may be trying in their own home.
