Has the weather started to turn cooler where you live? Have the leaves started to change their color, or even begin to fall? It has certainly done all of the above where I live! In fact, I’ve even pulled out my sweatshirts today because I was so cold! (To be clear: it’s not that cold, but when you’re used to 100-degree weather, anything under 90 feels cool.) And after a wonderful fall rainstorm, we got out the hot chocolate while I considered soup for dinner.
School has begun in my part of the country, football is about to begin, and Halloween decorations are in all the store displays. (So are Christmas decorations, but we’re not talking about that.) To say I am excited for this next season would be an understatement–I absolutely live for it!
The inconsistent, lazy summer days have shifted into a structured, more predictable schedule, which is where I operate best. Sure, life is still busy with fall sports, kids’ appointments, and homework to get done, but with the predictability, it’s much easier to plan around those things.
