It’s May, aka Maycember…arguably the busiest time of the year. I mean, December is pretty busy, but May? It’s almost more than I can handle. Spring sports are in full swing, and playoffs, extra practices, and State meets are just about upon us. Not to mention all of the end-of-the-school-year projects, assignments, tests/exams, and graduations for the older ones and end-of-year school festivities for all of the younger ones. Throw in a couple of birthdays, and you’ve got the makings of a month that will make your head spin. I literally couldn’t keep it all straight without this calendar:
I’ve printed out a couple of these May 2026 calendars already to help me plan and keep track of my two main areas of responsibility: scheduling and meals. Both of these are key to making this month run smoothly. Every time an email comes in or a piece of paper comes home with dates for May, they all go straight onto my calendar. In terms of meals, I’m mainly relying on meal prepping on weekends and freezer meals to get me through. (I am seriously thanking my April-self right now for freezing a plethora of crock pot freezer meals that I can easily use throughout this coming month on the extra busy days.)
