If you finish school at the end of May, congratulations! We made it!
If you finish school at the end of June, like I did as a kid, keep going, you’re almost there! We’re all cheering you on!
If there’s one thing I’ve learned after having gone through many school years with my kids, it’s that May, while despite being the last month of school where we might have this notion that because everything is wrapping up it’s going to be a breeze, it actually ends up being one the busiest months of the entire year! Between dance festivals, market days, graduations, and everything in between, it’s gotten to the point where I know, from experience, that I need to meal plan for the entire month and prepare a bunch of freezer meals to help me make it through. Summer is relaxing, but getting there is anything but.
For me, now that June is here, I can breathe a little easier. There is no more rushing to get kids out the door early in the morning, no homework to help with while attempting to get dinner on the table, and no packing lunches on school nights while trying to get kids in bed. I live for these laid-back days of summer. That doesn’t mean, however, that we do nothing all summer long. Oh, no. We have plans, bucket lists, and yes, some work to do too. This summer, especially, will be a very full one for my family, and I’m printing out one of these Free Printable June 2026 Calendars to make sure I don’t miss anything.
